Vestell Wright began his real estate career in Salt Lake City in 1974 as an agent for Empire Real Estate. In 1975, Vestell's real estate sales efforts were recognized as he was awarded "Founding Member of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club", a designation garnered by less than 2% of the licensed agents at that time. He managed two offices and was the sales trainer. 2 years later he purchased his first raw land in southeastern Weber County and over the next 8 years developed it, subdivided it and built estate homes on it. He was a frequent guest speaker at numerous real estate seminars on the tax merits of real estate and livestock ownership.
In 1986 Vestell was recruited by a financial services firm in Austin, Texas as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. They specialized in selling retirement programs to school districts, hospitals, and other non-profit organizations. Under Vestell's guidance, the company expanded into 401(k) Profit Sharing Plans and Cafeteria Benefit Plan sales and administration. He helped the company grow from $23 million in sales in 1985 to over $300 million in 1989, establishing a pension administration firm, broker dealer and sales force of over 5,000 licensed insurance agents and financial planners spread over 47 states.
In 1996 he formed a mortgage company that resulted in over $1 million per year in personal annual commission production. Calling on his experience in real estate and financial services, now in 2018, he manages a Branch Office in Austin for a national mortgage lender and enjoys sharing his marketing expertise with Realtors and Financial Planners.
Having now recovered from numerous knee and hip surgeries, a heart attack, stroke and cancer surgery, Vestell is anxious to again to lead a team to the top of the Austin chart for mortgage production
